Today was my first full-on chance to cover National Signing Day, and needless to say it was quite the adventure.
My day began at 8 a.m. (which meant waking up way earlier than usual) at Felix Varela High School, where offensive lineman Carl Pierre Louis signed with Fairmont University. Louis was a survivor of the Haiti earthquake, and knew nothing about football until his first practice.

After writing up a quick story for the website, I made my way to South Miami where cornerback A.J. Leggett decided on Marshall over Tennessee. He became the first Cobra football player to sign with a Division I school since 2007.

My final stop was at Christopher Columbus, where safety Deon Bush and his family showed their University of Miami pride.
