Photos: Martin Luther King Weekend

So, I’ve been neglecting this blog since I started writing for The Miami Herald, but I’m determined to update it more often whether it be with photos or reviews or interviews.

At the end of January I had the chance to visit the Mid-Atlantic region (think DC, Virginia, Maryland, parts of Pennsylvania) and stay with my aunt.

This area is perfect when it comes to history, and I had the chance to truly embrace my love for the subject, particularly the Civil War.

I took a ton of photos. Here are some of them to share with you:

A view of the Air Force Memorial at sunset

from the highway.

A view of the Washington Monument during

sunset outside the American History Museum.

A sculpture at Gettysburg National Military Park in Pennsylvania.
