Photos: Germany 2013

Not many places can boast a more scenic route than the Austrian Alps.

As we left behind Italy and headed for Munich — located in southern Germany — we had to pass through the picturesque setting of the mountain range. Naturally, “The Sound of Music” began to play in my head.

When we finally arrived in Bavaria, Munich welcomed us with rare showers on our trip. But just as our bike tour was to start, it stopped, offering lovely glimpses at a city with markets, squares and plenty of beer.

Below are some of my favorite photos. The next leg of the trip will include images from Holland.
