Miami Marlins 2B Dee Gordon: Baseball a family affair

Bonjour!

Hope everyone is having a great week. I’m back from New York City where I visited friends, saw a bunch of plays and watched my younger brother complete the NYC Marathon!

Anyways, a new week means another installment of the “What Baseball Means to Me” video series. This time around, we hear from Miami Marlins All-Star second baseman Dee Gordon.

Gordon, acquired from the Los Angeles Dodgers last offseason via trade, led the National League in average (.333), hits (205) and stolen bases (58). “Flash Jr.” was voted in as a Midsummer Classic starter for the first time but couldn’t compete because of dislocating his thumb on a slide the day before festivities.

As Gordon will discuss, baseball is a family affair. His father, Tom, pitched 21 years in the big leagues.
